Dear J.D. Davis Elementary School Families, Scholars, and Community Stakeholders,

It is with great honor, excitement, and humility that I welcome you to the 2026–2027 school year at J.D. Davis Elementary School. As your principal, I am committed to creating a safe, supportive, and academically focused environment where every scholar is encouraged to learn, grow, lead, and succeed.

This year, our theme is “Mission Possible: Every Student, Every Day, Whatever It Takes.” This theme reflects our shared belief that every child can achieve at high levels when surrounded by caring adults, high expectations, meaningful learning experiences, and consistent support. Our mission is possible when our school, families, and community work together with one purpose: student success.

As a former student of J.D. Davis Elementary School, leading this school is deeply personal to me. I understand the strength, promise, and potential that exist within our scholars and our community. I am honored to return and serve the school that helped shape my educational journey. I remain committed to ensuring that every child who enters our doors feels valued, supported, challenged, and inspired.

 

At J.D. Davis, we will remain focused on strong Tier 1 instruction, literacy and mathematics achievement, student attendance, positive relationships, school safety, and a culture of excellence. We will celebrate progress while continuing to identify opportunities for growth. Our faculty and staff will work diligently to provide engaging instruction, timely interventions, meaningful feedback, and learning experiences that prepare our scholars for continued success.

Families are essential members of our school community. Your partnership, communication, encouragement, and involvement make a tremendous difference in the lives of our scholars. I encourage you to remain connected by attending school events, participating in parent meetings, reading school communications, communicating with your child’s teacher, and supporting learning and attendance at home.

To our scholars: You are the heart of J.D. Davis Elementary School. Come to school each day ready to learn, make good choices, show respect, take responsibility, and demonstrate Owl Pride. Believe in yourself, work hard, and remember that your future is filled with possibilities.

To our community partners and stakeholders: Thank you for believing in our scholars and supporting the work of our school. Your time, resources, encouragement, and continued partnership help us provide additional opportunities for our children and families.

I am excited about what we will accomplish together. With high expectations, strong relationships, intentional instruction, and a commitment to doing whatever it takes, we will make our mission possible, for every student, every day.
